Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Happy bank holiday to all you UK readers ^_^
Next week I shall be in Canada for the TCAF event, eeee! I'll be on table 121 with my BREAKS publisher, Soaring Penguin between around midday and 2:30pm saturday, and for a couple of slots on the Sunday:
11-12 and 2-3pm.
I'll also be taking part in a panel on the Saturday morning at 11am on the subject of writing and drawing licensed characters. Should be a lot of fun to compare that with the creator-owned fun of stuff like BREAKS :)
If you're in Toronto, do come and say hi - This will be my first time in Canada and I'd love to meet you. ^_^
The only downside is that this means that there won't be a BREAKS update next week, I'm so sorry - but we'll be back as normal the week after. See it as shifting my bank holiday one week back ;) *hugs* I know you guys will understand because you're all fabulous xx
Okay - on with the angsty emotion!
@portisHeart Well, to be fair, I think it's probably more about the boxing itself at this point, but no doubt the entire thing is in part a way for him to let off steam.
And oof, Ian, buddy, she kind of has a point there. I feel bad because you're really just worrying about Cort, but you have to admit that you've never really inspired that sort of confidence in the past lol.
@portisHeart: Boxing is a complicated thing for Cort. As we'll learn, he is(was) very good at it - it was his life path. And yes, it's also a good channel for someone who's emotions run a little high sometimes. :)
@EmmaVieceli, @Alkyri: haha.. now looking again at the page i realized that Cort was just normally training, not "attacking any random objects".. i had mistaken the punching bag for a locker door XDD (which would be more emotional than professional), so i see your point ^^
