Hi guys!
Happy bank holiday to all you UK readers ^_^
--
Next week I shall be in Canada for the TCAF event, eeee! I'll be on table 121 with my BREAKS publisher, Soaring Penguin between around midday and 2:30pm saturday, and for a couple of slots on the Sunday:
11-12 and 2-3pm.
I'll also be taking part in a panel on the Saturday morning at 11am on the subject of writing and drawing licensed characters. Should be a lot of fun to compare that with the creator-owned fun of stuff like BREAKS :)
If you're in Toronto, do come and say hi - This will be my first time in Canada and I'd love to meet you. ^_^
-
The only downside is that this means that there won't be a BREAKS update next week, I'm so sorry - but we'll be back as normal the week after. See it as shifting my bank holiday one week back ;) *hugs* I know you guys will understand because you're all fabulous xx
Okay - on with the angsty emotion!

at least Cort has a good(?) way to let out steam. not sure attacking the material is helpful or appreciated, but i guess it's still better than him punching yet another dude to an early grave...

Hey I'm from Toronto! And I plan to go to TCAF on Sunday! I'll try to find you there :D

@portisHeart Well, to be fair, I think it's probably more about the boxing itself at this point, but no doubt the entire thing is in part a way for him to let off steam.

And oof, Ian, buddy, she kind of has a point there. I feel bad because you're really just worrying about Cort, but you have to admit that you've never really inspired that sort of confidence in the past lol.

@portisHeart: Boxing is a complicated thing for Cort. As we'll learn, he is(was) very good at it - it was his life path. And yes, it's also a good channel for someone who's emotions run a little high sometimes. :)

@Alkyri: Yeah, Ian's sort of jumping in at the deep end here. Maybe start with the small things, Ian?!

Have a wonderful time Emma. Also great change of scenes on the page too.

@EmmaVieceli, @Alkyri: haha.. now looking again at the page i realized that Cort was just normally training, not "attacking any random objects".. i had mistaken the punching bag for a locker door XDD (which would be more emotional than professional), so i see your point ^^

I adore Irina. And one does have to wonder why on Earth we do that little shove thing before beginning boxing. It seems a universal thing XD

Lol 'well shit'. Come on Ian why would she just tell you something that seems to be so secretive about our little Court? She didn't seem to like you even before you were dating him XD

@IronDog: From only seeing t in movies, etc, I always assumed it was kinda symbolic. Like shaking hands with your opponent. (or, just establishing a tactile optimum distance for first punch)

@cherish.york: Thanks, hon! It was a great time :)

@IronDog: haha, so true! It's like a little polite nudge to warn of the oncoming fist :D

@chaos-of-vinnie: Right? Like she's gonna just come out with it, Ian. PLease XD

@merbrat: I'm sure there's a good reason, but I always see it as an etiquette thing in the ring being echoed a bit. Testing the distance too, as you say :)
