Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

So - it's Monday again and that means it's NEW CHAPTER time! :)
The playing field has changed and Ian's about to try it out, eek!
While I have you all here, I have a small favour to ask on behalf of Malin and myself, you guys. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful group of readers. You guys are so supportive and your comments are not only heart-warming but often so insightful it's scary.
We love you, in short.
As most of you will know, we have a print edition of the book through Soaring Penguin and, with two issues left to draw of arc two, we'll hope to have the second book out next year. Buuuuut, it's an independent book and it relies heavily on word of mouth to let people know the book exists. And we are struggling on that front :(
For all that we see amazing comments and support on tapas and smackjeeves, it's very rare to see BREAKS mentioned anywhere else and that means we've not translated online readership to book readership (and therefore sales). Now, we don't expect our web readers to all rush and buy the book, of course, but what would be awesome is our fabulous web-community helping to spread the word about it. So, here's the favour:
If you've left us a lovely comment or review here, would you consider copying and pasting it to post as a review on either our amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Breaks-Vol-1-Emma-Vieceli/dp/1908030216) or goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34649598-breaks) listings?
Having your kind words in a place where the wider world can see them could make a huge difference!
(Huge thanks to Sovriin who has already done so and is our one, lone amazon review so far! and to Stephen and Cat for their goodreads reviews - and I spotted a few of you offering up ratings too - thank you! xxx)
Thank you SO much again! and onto what will be a very enlightening chapter....take it away, Ian! :)
