Oh, boy! The spotlight has moved and neither Ian or Cortland seem particularly happy about this...No wonder. This is gonna help the visit go wonderfully, right? Riiight?
Hope you all had wonderful weekends, guys x

What will Ian hear that Cort might not want to discuss when they leave? Their dads knew each other. Things can't get much worse...nah...their gonna make friendship bracelets.

What a beautiful way to build the tension for the big reveal. You give us four pages between Cort's surprise (and presumably working out who Cail is in his world) and Cail coming to the same conclusion about Cort, with Ian prattling on in the foreground thinking his righteous anger is the important conversation here. Reading over those pages makes me wonder if Cail has sussed to the nature of their relationship. He mentions expecting Milly when they first meet and then on this page obliquely points out that only family would come see someone in prison and he looks at Cort with that piercing looking panel three and suddenly gets personal.

@IronDog: He's certainly been working on keeping those outbursts in check...

@Auldr: Your comments are always a pleasure to read. Insightful as ever :) Cail isn't quite as observant as all that, but he definitely clocked Cortland pretty early on in terms of the small world...

sooner or later, someone would have spilled the beans.. it is a small world. looks like your past is catching up to you Cort. hey Ian, rejoice, your dad is a convicted thief and your bf is a killer - added to the rest of your family included the less living ones. in your place, i'd think about running far away or learning how to make solid rope knots...

@portisHeart: Yikes. It's pretty brutal when it's put like that 0_O But we don't know for sure about Cort yet...riiiight? ;)

@EmmaVieceli: sorry it wasn't meant so brutally or even mean.. it was pure sarcasm on my part. Ian has really been dealt a rough hand, pretty much all his life, i don't envy him. actually, a wonder he can still function so well. i hope Cort will change things for Ian and give him some happiness, he really needs it ^^
