Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

HAPPY MONDAY! The evening draws in, and the boys are off to the club. And yes, it's called Club 69, LOLOL. Just to save any disappointment here, folks: No, that is not happening tonight for them ;) You know us - we don't jump the gun. everything in good time :D
But what is happening is a night at a club. Who else is likely to be there and how will moods sit once this evening is done? :)
Uh EXCUSE me Ian! But birthday boy or not if Court can put on a gosh darn shirt so can you! XP
You know as much as I would love to see them get down with it ;) and I do par-take in my fair share of boyXboy comics XD but I actually enjoy it when a story takes time. It makes it seem more sweet and worth it when you have to wait for the relationship to actually build.
@chaos-of-vinnie: HAHAH! We've seen ian's taste in shirts before...remember the hideous flowers? Maybe the t-shirt is better :D
But yay - I'm so glad, hon. I know this is a slow burner, but we really want to get that emotional impact. x
Ah, what a beautiful marriage of visual context and dialogue. Club 69, what could they be thinking? Then we have the hands touching so casually but is Ian closing his wallet or is he touching the place where Cort's hand just been? We have the clever comment about McDonalds and then the Freudian slip by Ian. Ian realises his mistake but Cort apparently missed it, though we don't really know because he's reacting to Ian's comment and pondering his own future. You have packed so much into this page to show us how they are are exploring what this all means, probably subconsciously, while they continue to play out their regular public selves.
