Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Hey guys! So, Malin added that last exchange in the comic -it was never in the prose version - and I laughed out loud when I read it. I love that weird little unit. Three people who have variously broken and abused each other, now forced into an odd new state. But hey - you can't avoid each other so easily at school. Spence has been knocked from his perch and some sort of stillness has been left behind. New status quo!
Looks like some great character development right here.
Spence got some real issues and I'm getting that his relationship with his father probably isn't great. He is a dick and did really bad things, but anyone can change and learn from his mistakes. I wonder if we are gonna see something like this happen with Spencer.
That makes me wonder whether Ian actually managed to get round to speaking to her then or he's decided to just leave it, in which, some serious cheating is about to happen if him and Court are going to continue!!
