Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Ladies, gents and everything in between: This is the last page of Cort and Ian in arc one! OMG! Next week you'll get a final arc one page with a hint of things to come (dum dum duuuuuum) and then...
WE ARE IN ARC TWO!
I can't believe we've reached the end of this first arc for these boys. This arc was all about the coming-to-terms with feelings. Next arc will be facing up to them while life around them becomes a little more complicated. We hope you'll stay with us for that.
I've followed and loved this comic for over a year now. Thank you for your amazing work.
This is a compelling story, with funny and deep characters and it's a silverlining every monday.
I just hope that this "you're not gay but you want to kiss me" situation won't turn into biphobia with a "you're either straight or gay" kind of thing. You don't have to choose.
I've been reading and following this comic for quite a while now, and let me tell you guys, it has been an absolute pleasure reading this amazing story and getting to know these beautiful characters! I cannot describe how strongly you two have touched my heart with this, and I can not wait for the second arc, and all that it has to offer! Keep up the breathtaking work, I'll be looking forward to seeing more! ^w^
I am completely in love with this comic, as we all are by the look of things! I also adore the art by Naniiebim, I have been a fan of her work for ages after meeting her at MCM Expo years ago, so I was really surprised to see her here!
Keep up the amazing work ladies, I'm looking forward to Ian and Cort's future!
@MalinRyden: I'm so happy to hear that. There isn't much queer representation in the media, but it's even more rare to have our stories told by people from the community. Thank you for sharing that. :)
Wow! The end of arc one! I'm so proud of how far this comic has gone! Arc one was absolutely fantastic! I have been here since the very beginning (YES I remember the first animated cover page going up) and I'm so happy to have seen it grow week by week over the years. Emma and Malin you guys are doing an amazing job. Thank you for all your hard work. I'm excited to see where it's going now! x
okay so i havent been up to date with tany comic since end of school cuz i didnt have wifi and i fucking come back to this and i love it and omgggggggggggg they are so cute little baby gays i love them so much
Ugh. I love these two. You can tell how uncomfortable and sort of bitter (not sure that's the word I'm looking for) Cort still is, but Ian is slowly working his way into his comfort zone. Look at their sweet hands. Baby steps :)
Haha translation 'I'm gay and I don't want to admit it' XD just don't date them both at the same time Ian please!
Court seems to be pretty okay with all this so its interesting to think that he was aware of his feelings and everything beforehand, and then to think when Ian kissed him, he was shocked at the fact that something he wanted actually happened.
