Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

gosh you guys
So I apparently started reading this a super long time ago and just yesterday rediscovered it with tons of more pages which kept me up for longer than I should have stayed awake.
Anyway, you definitely not only deserve much more acknowledgement but also my hopefully longish comment.
I really like how lively your characters are. I think in a few sentences and their expressions and the way they are presented really shows a diversity which I really appreciate! I think Cort actually is a hard nut to crack characterwise because he is very composed most of the time and pretends. Ian does pretend too but I feel like for him it is a flaw he himself recognizes and already processes trough, be it with his sexuality or his involvement with Spence. Still, I really love both of them and how you slowly flesh them out through subtil hints. Their character design, or the art per se, is incredible. Really. As someone who just started picking up art I definitely know who to admire. I especially love the design snake elements and the different faces and ...everything *_*
I also really like the tension and the angst and how you handle them. The aftermath of the ambush fight really was extraordinary. So is the interesting family dynamic of the Hunts but also of Ian.
That said, I really love this comic for both its story and art and I will highly await the next chapter.
