We have reached the end of issue five, you guys! What a delight your reactions to the last couple of pages have been. I can't tell you how amazing it's been seeing comments appear and making it all worth it. I'd love to reply to every one of them, but time is against me. Be sure that we READ every one of them even if we can't always reply. They are our lifeblood! xx
Thank you so much for being with us for so long!

We hope you'll find enough to keep you coming back, even after 'the kiss' ^_~ The end of the issue does suggest, as I'm sure you've figured, that there's a lot more work to do before the course of true love runs smoothly.

Not to mention the mystery and drama of pasts and mistakes still to be addressed. *dramatic music*

Thanks again, guys. This is a double update, so I'll duplicate this comment on both pages. ^_^

Finally Ian's old actions have fully caught up with him. Seriously dude, it's not cool to go around and kiss unconscious people. That's literally sexual harassment or worse, no matter how you want to put it.

Sometimes I wonder what people really think of Ian, he's such an asshat here in volume one.

I just LOVE the way you're doing the background! It gaves so much more emotions to the story.

Now now Cort, did we really have to hit him that hard? Indulge in him a little, please?

Oh ouuuuch a punch to the gut!
He rejected despite seemingly enjoying the moment, maybe there is hope for you yet Ian.

Welp. That kiss couldn't last forever, sadly. God, this page is so great and so intense!!
Also, just now I've realized how Cort must feel about the kiss in the hospital. I mean, it's already terrible being kissed while your half-unconscious and not being able to do anything about it, but Cort had just been attacked by Spencer and the others, not able to defend himself, just like he couldn't defend himself from Ian. Add this what he just discovered about Ian and... Wow. I think Ian was lucky that Cort only punched him once.
Aaand if you're curious, here's what I think about Ian. He's my favourite character, I really like him, even if he's doing some very dumb things. I love his sense of humor and I'm curious about how he feels about his feelings for Cort and how he feels about Amilah. It seems obvious that he knows he likes Cort, it's not something he's confused about. But is he ok with it? And is he okay with his sexuality, whatever that is? And how does he feel about Amilah? She's his best friend, but does he really like her romatically? Will he tell her anything about Cort? I think probably not now, but in the near future maybe? I think it'll probably be her who approaches him about it.
Wow, sorry, that was long. I just. I think A LOT about this comic.

I like the crumbling effect on the bottom panels, it reflects the mood, nice touch.

Ugh, somehow this whole situation/this scene in particular just feels SO much more intimate than surprise kisses in comics/movies etc usually feel. It's both amazingly great and hard to read. Also heartbreaking. Ouch.
