Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Is it bad that i am really excited for this "bomb" Amilah is going to drop?????? well excited so long as it isn't going to hurt Cort, hes been through enough already he doesn't need matters to be made any worse than they already are.
Sorry, but you put the bold on the wrong word. It should be "I guess I have been a LITTLE on-edge recently", because its obvious that he did, but I can't read this sentence without sarcasm.
I mean, he can't be THAT oblivious, ...right?
@MoonByte: I think you might just be misinterpreting the intended tone of the emphasized "have." It seems just fine to me. Actually, putting the emphasis on "little" would probably make it sound ~more~ sarcastic - as if Cort was deliberately understating his level of stress to make it more obvious how stressed he really is.
@MoonByte: I can see where you're coming from on it, haha, both work pretty well :) I don't think Cortland quite understands how intense he seems to other people. He probably assumes he has a lid on himself most of the time...deluded fool :D
