Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

It's been hard to be away...
Keep it up, my friends. I absolutely love to see a new page up; I'm so thrilled to keep coming back for more. I like to read comics in large swaths, so I've avoided Breaks, hoping to have a good chunk of them to read.
This particular one, for some reason, has made me re-think my ideas about who ends up dead.
I used to think it was Spencer, and man, I wanted him dead -- but now I'm thinking it might be his Dad.
Think about it -- Tanner probably wouldn't call Spencer a 'man', but a 'guy'. 'Men' would be reserved for the generation up, still. And Tanner does care for Spencer (they've had such a long friendship); he just doesn't want to see Hunt get hurt, either -- so the next time Spencer goes after Hunt, gets kicked out, and his father beats on him, maybe Tanner just... Breaks.
She does indeed speak sense. Let's hope some of these boys listen! :)
And I love that you're all talking about Amilah's neck choker, haha. We use to have them when I was a teenager, and then they became big again here in England last Summer. I loved those little things! ^_^
