Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

What's been hard to show in the comic as opposed to the book is that Harvey is a very meticulous person. He likes order and clean. We saw it a bit when we got a glimpse of his work place...so this exchange between them is a sacrifice on both of their parts. Harvey for tying someone else's shoes and for carrying Cortland's hoodie, and Cortland for actually letting Harvey do that.
There were some great comments on the last page, thank you! It means such a lot to hear from you guys and know that the story is coming across despite the one page a week format! ^_^
@Guest: Thanks so much for taking the time to drop us a note :) I'm a big fan of page layout and character, so it's great that you've picked up on those two things - thank you!
We hope you keep enjoying the comic as the stories unfold ^_^
I have just stumbled upon this gem.
I gotta say, apart from the obvious of loving this story and the art, the colour scheme of the page and the layout are really spot on. It makes the comic pop, so it's easy to focus and not get distracted by whats happening in the sidelines. A lot of websites are all over the place, this is not one of them.
I just saw this comic this morning and read through it in a flash, yet I'm already fully invested in the characters and their individual lives and circumstances. This is going to be a wonderful adventure.
@Velve: eee! What a lovely, lovely first comment ^_^ Thanks so much for joining us and for taking the time to say hello. We hope you'll enjoy seeing the adventure unfold. There are a lot of secrets to uncover and we's just over the moon that you feel invested in the characters. They mean so much to us ^_^
