Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Irena doesn't mess about with excess words.
Ian kind of loves them though :D
A big HELLOOOOO to any new readers who found their way here via the lovely mention in the teahouse comic comments. I'm sure we don't need to tell you what an incredible project the teahouse comic is, and to be suggested as potential reading material while the teahouse crew take a much deserved month's hiatus is a real honour for us.
So - if you found us via MisterDave's suggestion: HI!! Make yourselves comfortable, join the discussion, and we'll keep rolling out the angst ^_^
Also: I will be appearing at Glasgow comic con in a couple of weeks' time. Any BREAKS readers planning on attending? If so, be sure to say hi!^_^
I love how Irena try to protect cortland, you can see that she appreciates his friend and tries to avoid another fight. Hopefully Ian intervene, however, it seems that he does not want to become the wall that contains a spencer.
On the other hand, there was something between Ian and Irena? ... Ian's words would suggest otherwise, unless only be sarcasm or something ... Great page
PD. precisely, I came here because of the recommendation that appeared in teahouse ... and continue along here ... bye
@Roquel: Yay, teahouse! I hope BREAKS can keep you entertained while the teahouse gang take a break (and after, of course) :)
and yeah, I love the relationship between Irena and Cortland. Even this early on you can get a feel for how fiercely defensive they are of each other. You have to wonder what they've been through before, eh?
And Ian's clearly not as stupid as he acts...I wouldn't want to be a wall holding back Spence either. But how long can he sit in the middle for? 0_o
I love Teahouse! Its come such a long way! I can't wait to see what happens :) also that Axis though? Check out those guns ;D he's so sassy.
Glasgow? I knew you guys had to be in the UK origin somewhere. I would go but I'm in Southampton the complete opposite end XD
You tell him girl! And yes her beef isn't with you, but, you're probably more reasonable to speak to than what Spenc is :S
And I think Courtland would get more crap from Spenc if a 'girl were to be sticking up for him' and all that :/
That's not far Irena
I don't think anyone realize just How hard it is for Ian trying to keep a balance between school life and his personal life were Spencer is involved .Yes Ian is better tolerated then most when it comes to Spencer but he still has a hard time of it . When dealing with Spencer I suspect that people think that things are tight between the boy's but there not as tight as some might think .
