Everyone wears a mask. What we see of people on the surface is so rarely what’s ticking underneath. And, in Cortland Hunt’s case, what he’s hiding might just be more than Ian Tanner is prepared for.
Breaks is the story of two young adults coming to terms with who they were, who they are and who they’ll become.
It’s a love story…but a little broken.

Wow! Where did the time go?
We're out of the prologue and back at school. The dance is over, but the echoes of it will linger for a while...
Thank you so much again to those of you who have been following and especially commenting. To my patrons over at Patreon, and to those of you buying the prologue online...It really means a lot that you're all joining us on this! ^_^
@Nsk: Gosh, thank you so much! That's a wonderful comment to receive. ^_^
The hope is that readers may want to buy the book once we get to that stage...but we're enjoying offering the pages for free as we go. :)
@3o-s-knight: Yeah. No one in BREAKS is entirely one-dimensional, you know? Spence is definitely a dick, and a bully, and used to getting his way. But we're already becoming aware that his own family life is pretty broken itself. With a Dad who offers a black eye when you've already come home bruised, leaping to violence as a solution probably makes sense to him. :(
My friend brought the prologue of this for my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised by the story. I really like the opening and I'm interested to see what happens between the characters.
Also the art work is just fab I love it!
